| R&D Enterprises has been in business for 32 years and until recently was headquartered in Northern Virginia. Mr. Rick Rineer, the owner, grew up in Northern Michigan and after 42 years of federal service is retiring and moving home. The new facility,called The Shop, is located in Frankfort, Michigan and will be providing a wide-range of recreational products and services. At the The Shop we will be producing graphite and natural bamboo fly rods under the Cold Creek Rod Company label, wood and cedar strip canoes and kayaks under the Crystal Canoe Company label, along with ice fishing shanty rentals and sales, boat storage, fishing lures and other recreational equipment under the R&D Enterprises label.
Jim Rineer, the Chief Executive Officer, will bring his many years of expertise and experience to provide organizational direction and guidance to R&D Enterprises, Cold Creek Rod Company, Crystal Canoe, and all other associated entities working within the R&D Enterprises Facility.

The R&D Enterprises Facility has hosted a number of community based activities since arriving in Frankfort and will continue to provide support to local governments, public groups, religious organizations, and resources to charitable entities in our community.
We will also provide services such as short and long-term boat storage, classes in bamboo and graphite rod making and canoe building, private party accommodations, young adult activities to include dances and music nights, community appreciation meals, conferencing opportunities, and wide-range of other events as we move forward.
